VA Home Loan Awareness Act: Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban
Affairs was discharged from further consideration of S. 3068, to
require each enterprise to include on the Uniform Residential Loan

and the bill was then passed.

Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore Pier: By 48 yeas to 46 nays (Vote No.
212), Senate agreed to the point of order that S.J. Res. 89, to direct
the termination of the use of United States Armed Forces for the
construction, maintenance, and operation of the Joint Logistics Over-
the-Shore pier on the coast of the Gaza Strip that has not been
authorized by Congress, was not entitled to privilege under 50 U.S.C.
1546(a) due to United States troops not being engaged in hostilities.
Subsequently, the point of order was well taken and the motion to
discharge the joint resolution from the Committee on Foreign Relations
falls.
