Rural Housing Site Loans Term Extension: Senate passed S. 3646, to
amend the Housing Act of 1949 to extend the term of rural housing site
loans and clarify the permissible uses of such loans.

2027 FIFA Women's World Cup: Senate agreed to S. Con. Res. 26,
recognizing and supporting the efforts of the New Heights Bid Committee
to bring the 2027 Federation Internationale de Football Association
(FIFA) Women's World Cup competition to the United States and Mexico.

National Stalking Awareness Month: Committee on the Judiciary was
discharged from further consideration of S. Res. 528, raising awareness
and encouraging the prevention of stalking by designating January 2024
as “National Stalking Awareness Month”, and the resolution was then
agreed to.

Training and Development: The Chair announced, on behalf of the
Republican Leader, pursuant to the provisions of Public Law 100-458,
sec. 114(b)(2)(c), the appointment of the following individual to serve
a six-year term as a member of the Board of Trustees of the John C.
Stennis Center for Public Service Training and Development: Senator
Wicker (reappointment).

States District Judge for the District of South Carolina; that,
notwithstanding Rule XXII, at 11:30 a.m., Senate vote on the motion to
invoke cloture on the nomination of Jacquelyn D. Austin, to be
immediately followed by

a vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Cristal C.
Brisco, of Indiana, to be United States District Judge for the Northern
District of Indiana; that, if cloture has been invoked on either
nomination, all time be considered expired at 2:15 p.m., and Senate
vote on confirmation of the nominations in the order in which cloture
was invoked; and that following disposition of the nomination of
Cristal C. Brisco, Senate resume consideration of the nomination of
Gretchen S. Lund, of Indiana, to be United States District Judge for
the Northern District of Indiana, and that the motion to invoke cloture
ripen at 6:15 p.m.
