10:29 a.m. - Republican Leader McConnell spoke on crime and China.
10:47 a.m. - Senator Thune spoke on the farm bill.
10:55 a.m. - Senator Kelly spoke on the Building Chips in America Act.
11:30 a.m. - The Senate began voting on confirmation of the nomination of Kalpana Kotagal to be a member of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
12:29 p.m. - The Senate confirmed the nomination of Kalpana Kotagal to be a member of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission by a vote of 49-47. Senator Manchin voted against the nomination. Not voting: Senators Blackburn, Fetterman, Hawley and Vance.
12:30 p.m. - The Senate began a vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #141 David M. Uhlmann to be an Assistant Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.
1:26 p.m. - By a vote of 51-44, the Senate invoked cloture on David M. Uhlmann to be an Assistant Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.
1:26 p.m. - Majority Leader Schumer filed cloture on the motion to proceed to the The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024 S.2226,
1:34 p.m. - The Senate is now voting on the motion to invoke cloture on Rachel Bloomekatz to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit.
2:30 p.m. - By a vote of 50-45, the Senate invoked cloture on Rachel Bloomekatz to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit. Senators Blackburn, Cassidy, Hawley, Scott (SC) and Vance did not vote Senator Manchin voted No.
2:31 p.m. - Senator Cornyn spoke about immigration.
3:21 p.m. - Senator Hagerty spoke about censorship, free speech and Twitter. He asked UC that the Senate proceed to S. 1672. Senator Peters objected.
3:36 p.m. - Senator Cardin spoke about gun violence.
