1:00 p.m. - By a vote of 53-46, the Senate confirmed the nomination of David M. Uhlmann to be an Assistant Administrator of the EPA. Senators Cassidy, Collins, and Murkowski voted in favor. Senator Manchin voted no. Senator Barrasso did not vote.
1:01 p.m. - Senator Cruz spoke in support of the Cruz-Manchin amendment #926 to S. 2226, NDAA FY 2024.
1:03 p.m. - Senator Murphy spoke against amendment #926.
1:05 p.m. - Senator Manchin spoke in support of amendment #926.
1:07 p.m. - The Senate began a roll call vote on adoption of the Cruz-Manchin amendment #926 (Strategic Petroleum Reserve), 60 vote threshold.
2:18 p.m. - By a vote of 85-14, the Senate adopted Cruz-Manchin amendment #926 (Strategic Petroleum Reserve) to S. 2226, the National Defense Authorization Act FY 2024. Senator voting No: Baldwin, Blumenthal, Booker, Cardin, Durbin, Feinstein, Hirono, Markey, Murphy, Sanders, Schatz, Van Hollen, Warren, and Welch. Senator Barrasso did not vote.
