10:45 a.m. - Senator Murphy spoke on the Supreme Court.
10:59 a.m. - Senator Thune spoke about American leadership and Russia.
11:08 a.m. - Senators Marshall, Vance and Scott (FL) spoke about the southern border, Presidents Biden supplemental defense package and the war in Israel. Senator Marshall then asked for unanimous consent for the Senate to pass H.R. 6126, Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2024. Senators Murray, Reed, Cardin, Merkley, Van Hollen, Shaheen, Klobuchar and Coons spoke against the bill. Senator Murray objected. Senator Marshall spoke again on Ukraine and Israel funding.

1:24 p.m. - By a vote of 62-36, the Senate confirmed Monica M. Bertagnolli to be Director of the National Institutes of Health. Not voting: Senators Britt and Scott of SC. Republicans voting in favor: Senators Barrasso, Boozman, Capito, Cassidy, Collins, Graham, Lummis, Marshall, Moran, Murkowski, Romney, Rounds & Tillis. Democrat/Independent voting against: Senators Fetterman and Sanders.
1:27 p.m. - The Senate began a vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Kenly Kato to be U.S. District Judge for the Central District of California.
2:24 p.m. - By a vote of 50-47 the Senate invoked cloture on the nomination of Kenly Kato to be U.S. District Judge for the Central District of California. Senators Britt, Sanders, and Scott of SC did not vote. This was a party line vote.
2:25 p.m. - The Senate began a vote on confirmation of the nomination of Kenly Kato to be U.S. District Judge for the Central District of California.
3:20 p.m. - By a vote of 51-46, the Senate confirmed Kenly Kato to be U.S. District Judge for the Central District of California. Senators Britt, Scott (FL), and Scott (SC) did not vote.
3:21 p.m. - The Senate is now voting on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Julia E. Kobick to be United States District Judge for the District of Massachusetts.

6:30 p.m. - By a vote of 52-46, the #senate confirmed Julia E. Kobick to be United States District Judge for the District of Massachusetts. Senators Collins and Murkowski voted YEA. Senator Manchin voted No. Senators Britt and Scott (SC) did not vote.
