10:32 a.m. - Majority Leader Schumer spoke on the NDAA (S. 2226), the one-year anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act, and artificial intelligence.

Senator Paul objected and asked unanimous consent for Senator Peters to modify his request to include his amendment at the desk. Senator Peters objected.

4:28 p.m. - Senator Schatz spoke on the NDAA and military promotions.

7:30 p.m. - Senators Shaheen and Duckworth spoke about the hold on military nominations.
8:07 p.m. - The Senate began voting on the Cruz amend #421.
9:00 p.m. - By a vote of 46-53, the Senate did not adopt the Cruz amendment #421 to S. 2226, the National Defense Authorization Act FY2024. Senators Cassidy and Romney voted No. Senator Durbin did not vote.
9:01 p.m. - Senator Wicker spoke on his amendment #1055.
8:02 p.m. - Senators Kennedy and Risch spoke on the Wicker amendment.
9:06 p.m. - Senators Murray and Duckworth spoke on the Wicker amendment.
9:10 p.m. - The Senate began a roll call vote on adoption of the Wicker amendment #1055 (Inspector General for Ukraine Assistance).
